LINEAPIU’ ITALIA 2020-25 | Our commitment to the environment
The approach of Lineapiù Italia to sustainability goes beyond the hype of the moment with a long-term vision that is aimed at maintaining an equilibrium between the environment and beauty.
By 2025, our goal is to use raw materials originating only from sustainable, recycled, organic and certified sources.
We have the good fortune to have our headquarters, laboratories and production facilities all located in Tuscany, right outside of Florence, with nature and beauty an integral part of our day-to-day routine. We are committed to ensuring those who come after us will have a better world to inherit than the one we found.
TREACEABILITY AND RAW MATERIALS | In synthetic raw materials, every season we strive to increase the percentage of yarns containing fiber of recycled and certified origins in accordance with the GRS (Global Recycle Standard).
PROCESSES | The entire chain of command for monitoring and qualifying suppliers complies with the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) protocol, which strictly controls the use of chemicals with the aim of creating a supplier rating system and reducing the presence of chemical substances throughout the entire production process.
PLASTIC-FREE | We have set into motion the process for completely removing the presence of all plastics from our company. A mission that will lead us to eliminate one million plastic bags used to protect the spools of yarn and around 350,000 bags for packaging.
By 2020, they will be substituted by compostable and bio-based alternatives.
GRS (Global Recycle Standard): in the Filclass and Lineapiù Knit Art collections are numerous items containing Pre-Consumer cotton (coming from yarn scraps originating in production) and recycled, GRS-certified Post-Consumer Polyester (coming from garments or plastic material both destined for disposal).
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard): GOTS was developed by leading international organizations in agriculture and organic farming to ensure the consumer is provided with organic textile products obtained in compliance with strict environmental and social criteria applied at all levels of the production, from the harvesting of natural fibers to the subsequent manufacturing phases, up to labelling of the finished product.
